He may ask if I can make it talk soon.īullshit, you don't have to learn 3D design! You just need to find versatile CAD jockys willing to work for prints. The steps are in the documentation, I just haven't gotten around to it.Īll in all, I like the thing, it's just been a huge hassle to get running and my boss is breathing down my neck wondering why I'm only printing blue knick-knacks when he wants me to print a bust of his head last week. One print jet is jammed so I need to do a lot of work on it to get the filament running properly. Also due to the plate, larger prints come out awkward as the jets push down on the print at some points. Due to the print plate I'm unable to properly align the print jets, thus the z gap only works on one at a time. I was able to print out a few small things but only in one color. I've got to figure out what software to use to design stuff. I'd rant about the lack of features but I'm pretty sure it's not meant to do anything else. The Cubex software is only useful for converting. Support had me take a few pictures and they're sending a new one now. I may be an idiot but I think our print plate is bowed or at least not flat. Setting the Z-gap, aligning the 3 print jets, and leveling the plate shouldn't be this hard though. Aesthetically, even harmonically, great but I doubt that's what you all care about. Its a good looking piece of machinery the owner of the company has it out in front so visitors can't help but take a look. Google was able to find it pretty quickly otherwise I would have asked support. I haven't been able to find it anywhere on the site. Their documentation isn't the best, for example, in order to set the set the print jet offsets you need to print their print jet calibration file which the documentation tells you to download at. I could check but the box is all the way over there. Replacement case was missing their brand so I think it was sent from the manufacturer. Support has been awesome so far, they quickly sent a replacement case, under warranty, and respond quickly when I asked for supplemental information that is missing from documentation on removing the case. 5mm to stick up the jet when jammed would be nice as well.
#CUBIFY SOFTWARE REVIEW DRIVER#
I wish it had the hex driver necessary to make print jet adjustments though. Also had their glue, some sandpaper, and a usb stick with their cubex software.
#CUBIFY SOFTWARE REVIEW DRIVERS#
Comes with the necessary screws drivers for leveling the plate and some basic maintenance. Its fully assembled which is nice but definitely not ready out of the box. The only damage looked to be superficial, a piece of the plastic case was broken off. The box came with pressure sensors which were tripped. I'm located in California so the printer was shipped internationally. I'm new to 3D printing but I'm willing to answer any questions. So I've been lurking the sub and saw at least a couple people interested in a review. My company recently acquired a Cubex Trio for marketing purposes (we're not a fabrication or design company).
